Susan served as my daughter’s speech therapist from the time my daughter was six months old until around the time my daughter turned five years old. Susan was like a family member to us. She is professional, compassionate, personable and awesome with keeping children engaged so that focus can be kept on accomplishing the therapy goals. My daughter looked forward to seeing “Mrs. Susan” every week! Susan worked to help overcome speech obstacles as they arose, with prompt and effective solutions. Susan’s years of experience and expertise helped my daughter to overcome feeding issues and provided a solid base when speech was just emerging, as well as advancing through the toddler years. As a speech therapist myself, I have high expectations for those who work with my son who has Down Syndrome. Susan has consistently exceeded those expectations over the last five years that she has worked with Jacob!
Susan is innovative with her techniques, which makes therapy fun and fresh on a weekly basis. She often checks in as to how Jacob is doing at school and with other therapies, which makes me feel like she considers Jacob as a whole. Most importantly in our situation, she’s firm, yet gentle, as our son often needs structure and routine to be fully engaged.
Susan is truly one of the best therapists that we’ve had, and we have had a lot over the years between PT, OT, and Speech!! I would recommend her to anyone in need of speech therapy for his or her child.

Susan came into our lives in 2010. She ended up seeing both of our children for speech. She is so well in depth in her experience and knowledge as a speech pathologist. Susan was not only just my kids’ speech therapist but she became like a part of the family. She genuinely has what is in the best interest for her clients. I actually teared up when she discharged my kids successfully just because she had been such a positive part in our lives. She is the BEST!!!!! Susan became my daughter’s therapist when she was about a year old. She was diagnosed with a chromosome abnormality and was extremely delayed. Although I was overwhelmed by a process I had never experienced, Susan’s experience and calming presence made me feel totally comfortable. She was excellent with my daughter and quickly became a part of our family. Susan is patient, funny, and teaches in a way that the kids don’t even know they are working! We were blessed to have her during such a critical point in the developmental process. Today our daughter is talking and understanding, and so much of that success, we owe to sweet Susan.

Susan was absolutely amazing with our son! Our two year-old tested as borderline for delays with a possibility of autism. Before we began our sessions with Susan, he wouldn’t talk. After just a few sessions he began to open up. After around 5 months he was talking up a storm! We were actually surprised to find that not only was he not delayed, but he was testing too well to get into preschool with RSD2! Susan brought that out of him with her different puzzles, games, and quizzes. She made learning so fun for him that he didn’t even know he was learning. He looked forward to every session with her. We were both truly sad that his sessions had to end, but happy that he no longer needed them thanks to all of her hard work with him. Susan is talented, knowledgeable, and she obviously loves her work and her clients. However, she is also professional and takes her work very seriously. Choosing her for speech therapy with your child is the best decision you could possibly make.

Susan did such a wonderful job working with our son. When she started working with him at around 18 months, he barely said one or two words. By the time he was evaluated at age 3, he was meeting or exceeding all of his milestones. Her work with him absolutely made the difference in his catching up to where he should be in his speech development. Now he is constantly talking! We would 100% recommend her for any child’s speech therapy needs.

Susan is truly God sent. She came into our lives when I felt helpless. I felt like my daughter’s words were trapped in her body, and she had no way to express herself. My greatest desire was to hear Maddix speak. She was diagnosed with autism at 2.5 years and she wasn’t talking to us at all. The connection just wasn’t there. When Susan walked thru my door, it was just something about her. She was able to connect with Maddix and build her vocabulary in ways I could never imagine. Susan did weekly reports that showed us how well Maddy was doing and just how much her vocabulary was growing. Such a patient woman, Susan was able to even work thru temper tantrums and engage Maddix’s twin brother in activities to help soothe her. We love Susan and could never repay her for the impact she has had in our lives. She gave my daughter a voice! Thank you so much!

Susan was amazing in every way! Our son, Anson’s language grew so much over the months that Susan worked with him. You could see light bulbs come on for him in communication and expressive language that we had never seen before! She also gave us tools and ways to help him use his words/language that were so helpful as parents. She is a joy to be around and our son loved the time spent with Mrs. Susan!
