Susan Combs MCD, CCC-SLP has been a speech-language pathologist for 15 years. Susan received her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Presbyterian College in Clinton, South Carolina in May 2000. She received her Masters + 30 in Communication Disorders from the University of South Carolina in August 2003. Upon graduating, Susan began her career as a speech-language pathologist in Aiken County Public Schools and Richland School District Two in Columbia, SC. Susan is a member of the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association, South Carolina Speech Language Hearing Association and is licensed to provide speech and language services in the state of South Carolina.
In January 2010, Susan began serving young children by providing early intervention in home speech therapy through Children’s Chatter, LLC in Chapin, SC. Serving the younger, special needs population and working with their families has become a passion and joy. Susan has recently begun providing speech therapy services through her own private practice, Speech Leaps, LLC. Susan continues to provide speech/language therapy in the home environment.
Susan evaluates and treats children and works with families with an array of challenges, including: Down Syndrome, language delay, articulation, Autism, Cerebral Palsy, augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), fluency and feeding/oral motor. Susan’s private practice is based in Ridgeway, SC. Susan provides in-home speech therapy services in Fairfield, Richland, Kershaw and Lexington counties in South Carolina.
